Gary is a Serial Entrepreneur, Start-Up Investor, Philanthropist and Real Estate Developer based in the Seattle area. Having started and sold 2 companies, as well as acquired and merged 5 companies, including selling ATGStores.com to Lowes in 2012 for $100M +. Since 2014, Gary has over $17M invested in over 80 companies ranging from Wearable Technology to Cosmetics.
A career of leadership roles such as President/CEO of ATG Stores.com, as well as a VP for Lowe’s. He now serves several Board roles for ColdStream Wealth Management, University of Washington and Washington State Opportunity Scholarship.
Gary founded Rubens Family Foundation and has donated over $27M so far to Washington State Non-Profits focused on educational opportunities for low income underprivileged students, to achieve a 4-year high demand STEM and Healthcare degrees as well, Rubens Family Foundation supports teen and early learning support programs. Garys grants will help over 7000 students attain a college education and high demand career, over 70% are first time college attendees in their family.
Most Recently, Gary acquired Athlete Intelligence, a Kirkland, WA based company focused on Data Analytics for Athlete Performance and Safety, helping coaches, trainers and athletes measure athlete performance as well as identify head impact for concussion awareness.
Philanthropist and angel investor Gary Rubens founded ATGStores.com which sold to Lowe’s Home Improvement in 2012.
