Mission Update: Launch and Docking are Successful
On 22 April 2025 at 12:40 UTC (08:40 EDT), SpaceX’s Dragon CRS‑32 cargo vehicle autonomously docked with the zenith port of the ISS Harmony module. Besides the Dent payload, The spacecraft delivered about 3,039 kg (6,700 lb) of research materials, crew supplies, and hardware.
On Monday, April 21 at 4:15 a.m. EDT, SpaceX successfully launched its 32nd Commercial Resupply Services (CRS-32) mission to the International Space Station (ISS) from Launch Complex 39A at Kennedy Space Center. Among the 3,021 kilograms of cargo aboard the uncrewed Dragon spacecraft was a unique commercial payload: Dent:Space Watches — Swiss-made automatic timepieces sent into orbit as part of our limited-edition series.
The Dragon is scheduled to dock with the ISS at approximately 8:20 a.m. EDT on April 22, where it will remain for about a month before returning to Earth with completed science experiments and the Dent payload.
The Dent:Space Watch Project
Dent The Future is embarking on an extraordinary journey by sending our specially designed Swiss-made Dent:Space commemorative watches to the International Space Station (ISS). This groundbreaking initiative is in support of our friends at Aquarius Reef Base and is made possible through our collaboration with Voyager Space, as memorialized in our Space Act Agreement and viewable on the NASA website.
The Watch Itself
Our watch is a limited-edition, Swiss-made commemorative timepiece designed to withstand the rigors of space as well as the challenges of undersea dwelling while offering unmatched precision and style. All watches include a certificate of being flown in space.
These watches are Swiss-made, with an automatic movement. Features include a stainless steel case with scratch-proof sapphire glass. Water Resistance to 500 meters / 50 ATM, and a helium escape valve.
Our Legacy of Space-Related Education
Founded in 2012 as a community of innovators driven to "put a dent in the universe," Dent The Future has a rich history of engaging in space-related events and activities, reflecting our commitment to exploring and supporting the final frontier.
Dent The Future advisory board members include astronaut Cady Coleman and the Operational Command and Control Systems designers for JPL's Flight Operations Center. We proudly hosted the Dent:Space Conference, an immersive experience in San Francisco, where we gathered 600 industry experts, astronauts, and enthusiasts to delve into the future of space exploration. Our team has long been a supporter of Aquarius Reef Base, the undersea research station widely recognized for serving as a training ground for NASA's NEEMO program. Several Denters have spent time undersea aboard Aquarius; a few have even spent the night aboard at 10 fathoms below the surface.
Dent Space Talks at San Diego Comic-Con
We have consistently showcased our community's extensive expertise and significant presence in space exploration. At our flagship Santa Fe conference and for the past decade at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC), thousands have attended our featured talks and panels that bridge the gap between cutting-edge space science and popular culture. Over the years, Dent has brought together an impressive array of NASA astronauts, scientists, and technologists to share their groundbreaking work and insights with our fellow “Denters.”
Our panelists at SDCC have included retired NASA astronaut Cady Coleman, who coached Sandra Bullock for the film Gravity, and Tim Kopra, a retired NASA astronaut who is CEO of Starlab Space LLC, a company pioneering private space station services. Former astronaut Mike Massimino, known for his work on the Hubble Space Telescope, has also shared his experiences and visions for the future of space exploration with us at Comic-Con.
SDCC panels like "Moonbase and Beyond: The New Push to Deep Space" and "Get Ready for Living in Orbit: Private Space Stations are Here," along with “Mars Needs People: Putting Humans on the Red Planet,” drew large audiences, eager to learn about humanity's next steps in space exploration. Dent’s collaboration with presentations from space industry leaders highlights our commitment to bringing the future of space to the forefront at SDCC.
Witnessing History at Cape Canaveral
On April 21st 2025, a group of Dent:Space watch buyers and project leaders gathered at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center to witness the launch of SpaceX CRS-32 — the mission that carried our limited-edition timepieces to the International Space Station.
Pictured below at the launch complex (left to right): Marcello Caporicci, Steve Broback, Sumanth Channabasappa, and Justin Milliun — each representing a part of the Dent:Space journey. Present at the launch but not pictured: Dent speakers and space industry experts Patrick O'Neill and Tere Riley.
